Des Moines Capital City Pride
A few weekends ago I went down to Capital City Pride in Des Moines with my sister and her friends. I haven’t been to a Pride event in the US in a while and it was wonderful to see so many people, especially so many families with kids. There were so many activities and performances to fill the weekend, which is a lot more than I was used to seeing in other countries. I was warned that the parade was going to be long, which it was, but I met some cool people standing near me and we had a great time. The highlight was definitely getting a 3-pack of DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE as a parade favor. Double-sided tape! A 3-pack! Can you imagine? That’s worth a fortune. Anywho, here’s a few snaps from the weekend.
